How Attention Works

Human development responds to in the direction that one’s attention is fixed upon.

That which you give your attention to grows, and that which you ignore and look away from will eventually die on the vine as someone once said. As you focus your attention on recognizing others for being beautiful, competent, accomplished, etc; they will move toward the light you are shining on them like flower toward the sun. Positive reinforcement is really quite irresistible and has a powerful effect on those we choose to shower it upon.
